DAY 24(30 DAYS CHALLENGE)
Hey guys, today I am going to review about "The Kane Chronicles" first part : The Red Pyramid, by author Rick Riordan!
I am not delaying lets get started:
The Red Pyramid is the 1st part of the exciting trilogy The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan.
14 year old Carter and 12 year old Sadie have became stranders since their mother Ruby Kane's death, While Sadie has lived with her grandparents in London, her brother has traveled the world with their father, the brilliant Egyptologist, Dr. Julius Kane. The great twist is when Dr. Kane brings the siblings together for a “research experiment” at the British Museum, where he hopes to set things right for his family. Instead, he unleashes the Egyptian god Set and few others, who banishes him to oblivion and forces the children to flee for their lives.
Soon, Sadie and Carter discover that the gods of Egypt are waking, and the worst of them–Set–has his sights on the Kanes. To stop him, the siblings embark on a dangerous journey across the globe–a quest that brings them ever closer to the truth about their family, and their links to a secret order that has existed since the time of the pharaohs.
A bit confusing, even I felt, you might say mythological book again? Honestly this book is satisfying to read but it is something beyond Egyptian mythology, even though the story sounds strange, it is quite interesting when we start to read it. It had a lot of elements like, ofcourse Egyptian mythology, the family bond, two sibling who were apart for years and is now doing a quest together and much more. I also do like to mention this, few parts of it mostly in the beginning, was not understood, it was like few parts was missing. This is the only fault I found.
I must say this is a great series to read, mix of mythology and reality, but due to the few unclear parts, I will be giving it a 4.5 stars!
Hereby I conclude my review! I hope you enjoy and don't forget to comment about this post also if you have read this please share your own reviews too. Can't wait to know!
